Standard route along Loch a' Bhraoin. Crossed river and then easily but steeply up Beinn Bheag. Steep but easy down to, and up from, bealach to Groban. Descent to NE back to river a bit scrappy and boggy lower down.benalder28411/11/2023
Bheinn Bheag, Groban & Meallan Chuach (including trig) from Loch a' Bhraoin. Big drops between them. A bit warm (27 degrees) so a dip in the loch was required.sclater08/07/2023
From layby on the Destitution Road. Track to about one mile past Lochivraon with two fairly heavy showers on the way, then easily forded the stream, then a steady grassy plod to the flat summit area. Cloud base just touching the summit so no views of surrounding hilltops.Owen B21/06/2023
Parked on verge of Destitution Road opposite start of track to bothy. Biked to bothy, Bein Bheag, (visited all contenders), then onto Groban. With PM.CJM19/09/2022
Parked in Meds car on Destitution road. Biked along rough road to bothy in 30 minutes. Crossed the river easily to gain the slopes and a steady plod to the summit. Walked all potential high points. With CM. Onwards to Groban.bolton19/09/2022
From Groban. Windy, but what a viewpoint! Extensive views in all directions. Descended NE to stalkers path then to bothy and along track to car at head of loch. 14miles, 3100' ascent, 6 hours on the move.MichaelF17/05/2022
Bike from destitution road to c1 mile past doss, Beinn Bheag and Groban, back out.daviemore26/04/2022
with Rob Wight on a long tiring hot day. Standard walk in and out by Loch a Bhraoin. Sensational viewsalexmaclennan01/09/2021
Walked from track end at Braemore, along Loch a' Bhraoin, past bothy for 1km or so, then up to Groban. Down to Bealach Gorm, then climbed Beinn Bheag. Returned SSW in trackless country, over Meallan Odhar then by stalkers path and decent tracks to Heights of Kinlochewe, then Incheril (benefit from having second car there). Route very similar to No. 312 of Scottish Hill Tracks by Scotways.willyross17/06/2021
The usual route along Loch a' Bhraoin, then the path to the river crossing (cairns) then deer tracks easily but steeply up Beinn Bheag. Steep but easy descent to Bealach Gorm on smooth grass, then steep but easy climb to Groban. Sleet and rain at the top on a strong wind but dried up on the way down. Descent is also easy, heading for the river meanders. The newer, upper track around Loch a' Bhraoin gives easier going than the lower track but a lot of up and down. A thorough soaking on the walk out.Gill20/05/2021
Walked in from A832 along Loch Bhraoin. Good track for walking; wouldn't advise it for a bike - lots of new deep gravel makes it slow as walking. Together with Groban.IanHHill14/07/2019
From A832. Beinn Bheag, Groban, Ceann Garbh Meallan Chuaich (also visiting the trig point), camping on descent. Excellent views into Fisherfield, hot but mostly with cloud cover, and lots of horse flies on return.RobertP06/07/2018

From Groban, then cycled back from Lochivraon. Too hot and dry to continue over Rainicn.Topographer5717/08/2016
Parked up on main road and cycled down track to Loch Vroan, along the rough road (walking may have been quicker) to the bothy behind locked lodge. The track extends another half km before becoming wet. Cut up the burn to the Bealach Gorm and climbed Ben Beag and Groban from there, back more direct to the lodge and out.nordicstar01/08/2016
The cycling didn't really work for me. Too much gravel washed up from the loch. But after I abandoned the bike it was all ok and some great views into the Fisherfields.jenx01/08/2016
From lochivroan - followed path then made a bee-line for slope just past col. Care needed with burn crossingsButeobuteo31/08/2015
Bike along loch, terrible track. Drizzled all day, then rained harder. No views from top.iangalbraith24/06/2015
A Flaming June day (not!) Cloud at top restricted view and then followed us to Groban. 8 km cycle out (ouch)elizyanne13/06/2015

With Dave Roeder. From road (9:30), bike along Loch a'Bhraoin to 113731 (10:25). Crossed river, up Groban (12:10), then Beinn Bheag (13:30), Creag Rainich (16:00) via watershed & back to bikes (17:30) & car (18:20). Low cloud & light rain, so no views; cleared on descent to glorious evening. Unfit; slow progress.dbb05/06/2014
round of 3 groban, beinn bheag, and creag rainich cycled from the road past the loch to the bothy.robertphillips20/10/2013
It's a long way with a bad back. Thankfully it is possible to cycle to the the non-MBA bothy (with a toilet, wow).Martin R16/10/2013

Beinn Bheag (NH 084714) & Groban (NH 099709) S/F NH 162760 Carried dingy from road to loch then paddled to far end for 2 night camp. Overcast for majority of day with sun in late afternoon. Cloud base >3000' giving spectacular views of Munros. Bothy totally transformed, now has flush toilet!John Young01/08/2012
with Grobhan, a good day out; potentially great views; 4hrs 15dmckeith17/06/2010

From main road with 800' start, on track to east end of Loch A'Bhraoin, another long mile past the bothy on WDP to cross the river at a cairn and up over rough dry ground to top at 12.20. Ptarmigan - lowest I've seen. East top higher but beautiful views from west top. to Grobanarranc14/06/2007
