The Storr and Hartaval from tourist car park.rhalstead14/06/2023
Tourist track from the Old Man CP. Very misty start so contoured over to Hartaval initially before taking on The Storr. Thankfully the mist burned off and sunshine gave us a visible summit and easy clamber over to the E Top. Decided to head southwards, bagging The Storr South Top en route to Ben Dearg, A' Chorra-bheinn and Pein a' Chleibh. A great walk in perfect conditions only spoiled by the trudge back up the A855 dodging fast cars, wide motorhomes and dirty haulage trucks. Hey Ho, the lot of a bagger. 6.5 hrs total.summitter30/05/2023

Added just over a mile of extra walking by parking on roadside near water works 800m SW of pay car park. £3 for 3 hours, £5 for six hours! Followed the tourists to not see the must-see Old Man of Storr. Thick cloud and wet drizzle obscured any sight of the pinnacles. Probably made harder than it should by attempting a direct scramble just after Old Man at 499543. Managed to get up 2/3 of the way past 2 apparent cruxes but lack of firm handhold at true crux forced the more difficult down scramble. There probably is a route but not one I could see in these conditions. Returned to the tourist route before doubling back on the summit ridge above Coire Scamadal. A scramble that may deter some tourist to gain the ridge. No discernible path on the ridge but occasional cairns appearing through the mist keeps you on track, not to mention the drop to the left. After reaching damaged trig (no faceplate) decided to return by the same known route. Did not want a repeat of earlier down scramble.mntainman06/09/2021
Walked up from Storr car park past Old Man, etc, then north onto ridge, S to summit. South to descend next to burn and down to road. With Laura and Anne.stever30/08/2021
Across delightful narrow ridge of East top as eerie sheep floated out of the cloud to wide flat grassy summit area. With trig. Descended vi the steep and loose Coire Eoin to SW of summit. Steep cliffs elsewhere. Loved the Pinnacles rising into cloud. amazing place.Denise 29/06/2021

up tourist path from the east. Traversed on good path round Coire Scamadal, then south up easy grass slopes to the summit KeithByTheC15/09/2020
Climbed from Old Man of Storr car park, up into Coire Scamadal then up Hartaval first, followed by The Storr, descended Bealach Beag. Dry all day with high level clouds.chillyman805/09/2020
With H and Tess. Very warm, sunny day. Extremely busy from road but once over fence to Coire Scamadail we were alone. Lots of flies and midges but nevertheless a gorgeous day with far views to the Hebrides, Assynt, Black Cullin. A handful of folk passed but summit to ourselves. Descent by Bealach to S.niallp10/08/2020
nice look at the old man and a quick (not so) anticlockwise loop around the storr.Nicky C30/12/2019

Family walk. With the masses as far as the Old Man. Then from the NE aimed for a notch in the cliff which brought us up on to the summit ridge. Trig point rather eroded. Wanted to do the east top on the way back but was overruled by Mrs Anchovy.Herbert Anchovy20/08/2019
Started from old man of Storr lot. Ascended to the old man of Storr, cut north to edge around the hillside. From there, directly ascended the north face to the summit. Wild wind and rain. No views due to cloud cover at summit, but well worth it for an unforgettable experience. Took a while to find the trail marker leading back down due to the fog.ceo42419/06/2019
From the Storr Sanctuary CP via the NE ridge and the stepping green rake leading to the summit. How great the contrast between the baroque pinnacles of the Sanctuary and the lawn-smooth summit grass. Continued, with trepidation, to the E Top.Nick Down128/05/2019

Hartaval and The Storr round with elizyanneGmacT18/04/2019
Hartaval - The Storr round with GmacT. Couldn’t ask for better. Left the crowds and climbed Harrnaval. Looked so steep but was fairly straight forward. Then back up to The Storr. Lay in the warmth at the top and watched a golden eagle enjoy the updraught.elizyanne18/04/2019
Climbed to celebrate my mum's would have been 93rd birthday. Sublime day started cloudy, but had a suggestion of a cloud inversion and so it was.Jhimmy04/06/2018
Wow. Blue sky, stunning views, up at peak at 7.30am. All to myself, lucky. Wonderful. Company: Soloiandesbottes12/05/2018
From the car park up the tourist route. Everybody disappeared at 500545 when I got to the north point of the ridge. Just over the hour to the summit then headed for Hartaval. Easy going underfoot with little wind.bolton06/10/2017

parked overnight at The Old Man of Storr car park and in glorious weather but quite brisk wind finally made a one way traverse all the way up the Trotternish ridge. Came off it before Bioda Mor as I'd summitted it before and I wanted to get up Cleat and take a look at the two tricky other two little TuMPs off under the eastern cliffs. Great day had a sting in the tail. never got a lift and faced a gruelling 13 miles walk back which added another 5 hours till 2.25am Ouch! Deliriously tired.vegibagger02/06/2017
