On path from Three Arch Bridge. Across stepping stones at east end of Loch an t-Siob. Left path to climb to col with Beinn Shiantaidh, then up obvious path and grassy rake to sandstone block, which avoided most of the scree. Rocky summit ridge. | KeithByTheC | 25/04/2022 |
Anti-clockwise circuit of The Paps with Gavin. Unusual walled path to the summit trig point. Great views for 360 degrees. Exciting path down the south ridge. | Dangerous Dave | 01/08/2021 |
On RBS HWC Islay weekend. Although I walked alone I found Mark and Jim P on the summit as well as Kenny and Derek. This was more straightforward than the Graham Beinn Shiantaidh. The drop to the next Graham looked substantial so I returned by my outward route. | langskill | 19/06/2021 |

Three Arch Bridge - Loch an t-Siob' - Beinn Shiantaidh - Beinn an Oir - Beinn a' Chaolais - Loch an t-Siob' - Three Arch Bridge. Perfect sunny day. Boggy below 200m. Just over 6 hours. | davidpettit84 | 08/11/2019 |
The Paps with ger. | CJM | 13/09/2019 |
Superb Paps hill walk. Initially with Bolton & CJM, then with CJM to Beinn Shiantaidh, Beinn an Oir & Beinn a'Chaolais. Fine weather - a superb walk over fantastic quartzite hills. | ger | 13/09/2019 |
From the bridge at 545720. Ger and CM headed up to Beinn Shiantaidh while I followed the path on the north side of Lochan t-Siob (Adders are about!) up to the col and then the diagonal rake to the north side before the summit. Blue skies, sunny and a breeze! Headed to Beinn a'Chaolais. | bolton | 13/09/2019 |
Walked from west lock tarbet , hard walk in 22s in total | campbell386 | 03/07/2019 |
Round of Corrabheinn, Shiantaidh and Oir from start of Evans path. From the Shiantaidh col, Oir is easily climbed on a gentle path that goes left, then right up a broad ledge and steep but comfortable grass rake that extends up to the main summit ridge, from where it is a short and easy sloped scree to the summit. A high return route from col to start, led into tussocks and long grass, a descent to Loch Siob would have been better. | Topographer57 | 11/06/2019 |

With MVW from Bridge after cycle from Craighouse, then onto NE ridge Beinn Shiantaidh, very laborious scree to summit. then onto Beinn an Oir which was pleasant in comparison. Clear warm day with cool wind. Return via lock and same route back to bikes. | Frank | 09/04/2019 |
From three arch bridge using Walkhighlands route. Can't remember a boggier walk in my 66 years on this planet! | Crib Goch | 09/09/2018 |
7.35 ferry from Islay. Followed the standard walkhighlands Paps of Jura route. 7 hours 40 minutes, plenty of time for the ferry back. Weather played ball, dry, mild, almost calm, cloud just touching the tops occasionally. | Owen B | 20/08/2018 |

5th hill of 7 today on circular from Three arched bridge outside Knockrome, climbing Cnuic Charrach, Bheinn Mhearsnail South top, Bheinn Mhearsmail and Beinn Chaolais, descent to col picking up footpath and when i reached the worst of the scree, i bypassed it using the boulder field. Nice ridge but windy. Descent via scree path | Dazingdale | 07/06/2017 |
From Beinn Shiantaidh. Fairly easy ascent, good bit of ridge at top. Wind strengthening, if anything but weather good, brief powder-snow shower at summit. Amazing view of Benn Chaolais and good bit of ridge before long descent. On to Benn Chaolais. | Wycombe Wanderer | 24/04/2017 |
Ferry from Islay. Beinn Shiantaidh, Beinn an Oir, Beinn a'Chaolais from E, starting at old bridge. Day started bright and sunny but clouded over - still some fantastic views. 8.5h, back in plenty of time for ferry back to mainland. | RobertP | 04/04/2017 |

Great day on the Paps but very very warm. Route from track on east coast above Craighouse discouraged by estate but better than their recommended route via a Three Bridges | Mr Nick | 28/07/2014 |
Disappointing after Beinn Shiantaidh. Had a lovely scramble up there, but this was just a slog up a very clear and well-made path. Nothing to recommend it except highest point on Jura - and the trig pillar. Oh, and some stunning views, so not too bad really! | jonglew | 11/06/2014 |
With: hb aw cs; Climbed directly W from bealach between Beinn Shiantaidh with Alan Whatley and Campbell Singer. Cloudy on top. Descended S ridge to small lochan then back by Glean an t-Siob. Alan climbed Beinn Mhearsamail. | Ian Baines | 20/05/2014 |

With three friends. From Three Arch Bridge to Loch Siob and across burn on large stepping stones. To col between Beinn an Oir and Beinn Shiantaidh and up path to summit od Beinn an Oir. Very misty, windy and rainy so we missed path at one point. Passed remains of huts constructed during World War II as an observation post or was it the ordnance survey?. There is something of a causeway from there to the summit. Descent same way more or less. | pwbellarby | 08/05/2013 |

Ascent and descent by path from 3-arched bridge over Corran River - small car park N of bridge. Took rake up east flank of hill then NE ridge to summit. Superb viewpoint on a clear day (which we had). | Man of Kernow1 | 08/06/2012 |
