From small parking area just West of Allt Dhuin Croisg. Obvious path to Meall Ghaordaidh. Intermittent path on ridge E over Cam Chreag & NW to Creag an Tulabhain. Backtracked 600m SE to low point on ridge and dropped gradually to watershed on boundary. Steep climb NE to ridge & N to Beinn nan Oighreag. Descended S then SW to sheilings & on to Munro path W of Allt Dhuin Croisg. Descent was mostly on faint path, but lost it in places. Beautiful day, bone dry ground, glorious views. 18km, 1300m climb.Lynnebe06/09/2023
Climbed with Richard before heading up to DMC New year meet. Reasonable day but a little windy and poor vis at times.amcculloch29/12/2022
As others describe, up and down on ATV track.rhalstead14/09/2022
Weather forecast to clear 4pm so evening walk of Beinn nan Oighreag (Corbett) and Meall Ghaordaidh (Munro). Weather correct, nice clear views from both. Enjoyed the corbett for the views of the munro which looks much more impressive from this side. Solo.meltdiceburg23/08/2022
Post-covid solo dawn ascent using the same route as Nick Down 1 and Owen B parked in the parking space (big enough for 3 or 4 cars) and followed the sometime faint, sometimes boggy track pretty much to the summit. Tapped both the big rock (S top) and the cairn (n top) just in case. 2h 41min total time.mproudfoot27/07/2022
Exactly as Nick Down1. Some uncertainty whether the road is closed. Went past a sign above Loch Tay saying the road beyond Ben Lawers is closed for resurfacing during May 2022, but when I got there it wasn't. However I noticed a sign from the Bridge of Balgie direction explicitly stating that the road was closed at the point where the road leaves the main glen, which would add about a mile each way to the walk.Owen B21/05/2022
1/3 With Meall Ghaordaidh and the Tarmachan ridge, starting from van at shielings car park to NW of reservoir, over Bealach na Cuinneig – Tarm ridge W to E last. Only one summit clear but no rain. Snell wind, patches of wet snow, some dead reckoning needed but fences to handrail. Rounsfell17/04/2022
From Ben Lawers mountain road pull-in at 537437. An ATV track crosses the bridge over the Allt Bail a'Mhuilinn, rises to the ridge at point 700, then leads pleasantly, if a bit marshily, to the summit, cairned N and NE tops and S top. Glorious views of the Lawers range and Glen Lyon. Sadly, not a cloudberry to be seen on the Hill of Cloudberries.Nick Down122/10/2021
A clockwise round of 5 Simms. Drove up the hydro road to the forested compound, where there’s parking for many cars. From Creag an Tulabhain. Then down SE towards the shielings, across the Allt Dhuinn Croisg, and up the N ridge of Meall Ton Eich.Minto25/07/2021
From 1st car park on road from Bridge of Balgie. Track to west then followed fence line to top. Steep in places. Descent via same route.John Lee18/07/2021
Solo. I drove up from Trinity. Lots of cars parked on the hill road between Loch Tay and Glen Lyon. Thankfully there was plenty room at my chosen parking place - just one other car. There was a tent tucked in close to the burn that flows down from the back of the Tarmachan ridge - the smell of bacon being cooked was tempting. I crossed the burn by a small footbridge and headed up over Meall Buidhe. It was rough underfoot - tussocks of grass, heather, moss. Once I crested the ridge I got my first look at Beinn nan Oighreag - look straightforward. As I descended into Lairig Breisleich I put up a young deer/older fawn. It stood its ground looking at me. As I thought it may have been put there by its mother I swung right to keep away from it, but it did move off. My choice of route through the peat hags in the Lairig Breisleich was sub-optimal. I struck more or less directly up the slope to Beinn nan Oighreag, taking lots of short rests. I was bothered by flies, including clegs. It was velangskill17/07/2021
From Glen Lochay via old drovers' road. Nice route.vuirich14/06/2021
As per Walkhighlands route. On a Sunday with good weather and great views we were the only ones on the hill.TRG31811/04/2021
From Glen Lochay, ascending tarmac track from ca NN539352 as far as sharp right hairpin, taking a track to the left then up through bracken to join main track into valley of Allt Dhuinn Croisg (often wet, in disrepair, can be hard to follow, but worth sticking with it) to gravelly section of river at NN542386, crossed, continued up S ridge of Beinn nan Oighreag to summit, returned same way, but persisted with track as far as NN543357 (just before a small fenced woodland), then dropped down to tarmac track and back to roadkdbennett17/10/2020
From Duncroisk via south ridge.Winterfloodian23/09/2020
With John. Cloudy at first then cleared to scorching day. Didn't see a soul on the hill apart from 2 deer, frogs, a vole?, a lizard. Stunning views. Hot. Veryhappybunny14/08/2020
Hot day, great walk. Drove up the Glen Lochay hydro road as far as possible then followed the old drovers road across meadow, railroad sleepers and steel girders to the ghost village of Shielings, then an easy steady ascent along the southern ridge of Beinn nan Oighreag. Took a direct easterly descent to, the probably boggy most of the year, Lairig Bhreislich, which was straightforward in super dry conditions, to enable an assault on the northern ridge of Meall Ton Eich. From there it was onwards to Creag na Caillich, giving a spectacular view of the Tarmachan ridge. But, we headed home via the less dramatic but equally undulating Creag na Caillich west and the two Meall Dhuin Croisg tops. A westwards descent got us back to the drovers track and the eventual mid-summer delights of an ice-cold diet coke and choc-ice in Killin.summitter30/05/2020
Solo. Came over from Meall Ghaordaidh over Cam Chreag and Creag an Tulabhain. Visited the cairn a bit further north of the summit rock before descending the south ridge back to the van at Duncroisk.Dangerous Dave20/10/2019
BFMC dinner weekend. Very cold but clear day.garbo110329/09/2019
Round from Glen Lyon - climbing the Corbett first gave good perspective of Meall Ghaordaidh, which is characterful from this side. A good day in fine weather.nix_snilloc22/04/2019
Meall Dhuin Croisg; Meall Ton Eich; Beinn nan Oighreag; Creag an Talabhein; Cam Creag. Return stalkers path looks good on map but barely exists on ground which resulted in a lot of deep heather and bracken when I lost the line.dickscroop20/08/2018
From Glen Lochay, up hydroboard shallow zigzags, path across pastures- iron bridge supports at burns- then an old, well engineered path to get to the foot of the S ridge. It looks as though considerable descent will be needed to cross Allt Dhuin Croisg, but the path just climbs steadily all the way. Little in the way of a path on the mountain, it seems most people just bag it from the NE. Returned via Duncroisk, rather messy route lower down. The key to avoiding climbing over fences is a little counter-intuitive- walk through the sheepfold. Interesting day's walk even though little is on high ground, with Petepwheeler27/05/2018

with Tess from Hydro road and hill path. Rough going in middle section of ascent but speedy descent via M Ghaordie path to Duncroisk (this latter path not suitable for dogs - stepped crossing over high dyke/deer fence). T-shirt weather and long views. Saw no-oneniallp17/09/2017
From Glen Lochay, signed route W of Duncroisk. Direct route up S ridge to summit, also visited middle top approx 400m to NNE. Drizzle and rain for most of route.RobertP28/08/2017
Heading for the Simm, Cam Chreag, so paid this Corbett a visit on the way - up the zig-zag track then easily round the grassy hillsideColin Crawford22/06/2017
Day's walk from Glen Lochay with Jim S in fine, sunny conditions; spotted a golden eagle circling the southern slopesbarnz4802/10/2016
From Glen Lyon via Moar track and north ridge. Mostly short grass and smooth, easy sloped terrain. Contrary to the 50K map there is no river crossing at Kenknock and the river was much too high and strong to ford.Topographer5712/07/2016

Solo ascent, from Duncroisk waymarked track, with Holy and Jenny of Meall Ghaordaigh onto Cam Creag and then across the bealach onto Beinn nan Oigreag. Initially sunny then overcast but dry, light wind and a dry moor. 5 hours.alexmaclennan16/06/2013
