Parked at Bruce's Stone car park in Glen Trool, walked up to Loch Valley, around the west side of Loch Neldricken then stopped at a sandy beach on Loch Enoch for lunch. Up Mullwharchar first, then south to Dungeon Hill and on to Craignaw. Rough descent over lots of grass tussocks, to join a path on east side of Loch Neldricken, then rejoined the outward route at Loch Valley, when I was caught in a heavy shower, dry for rest of day, 09:50hrs all in.chillyman819/08/2022
From Bruce's stone car park on a Two day walk wild camping on the shores of Loch Enoch. Following the Gairland burn route up to Loch Neldricken from here the route took in Craig Neldricken, Craignaw, Craignairny and Dungeon hill before descending to Loch Enoch to pitch the tent. Day Two involved climbing Mullwarchar and Hoodens hill returning via the West side of Loch Enoch where I was able to follow a faint path to the Buchan burn and onto the ruin of Culsharg Bothy finally heading south to the car park. Seventeen mile with 4350ft of ascent.WAYNE ROWLETT13/07/2022
From Craignarny and on to Mullwarcher. Met a somewhat rotund chap just below the summit who was hoping to complete the SMC Full House.sclater20/03/2022
After the Merrick. Relatively easy going under foot. The odd scramble moment.Iloveducks26/08/2021

Solo. Parked at Craigencallie. Track walk in to southern end of Craignaw (645m), up onto ridge and along to summit. Loch Enoch. Then up Mullwarchar (692m). Late decision to then summit Craignairny (595m) and Dungeon Hill (620m) due to beautiful evening sun, then a tricky descent and across to Back Hill of Bush. Track return.meltdiceburg24/08/2021
Rough ground from Craignairny. If better ground would have continued to Mullwharchar. Instead returned back over Craignairny then to saddle.Adventurers514/08/2021
Parked at Craigencallie mid afternoon. Biked to Backhill o Bush and climbed Craignaw direct. Then onto Craignairny, down to Loch Enoch and up to Mullwharchar. Bivvied out at the summit - what a place. Early start the next day. Took in Dungeon Hill before descending to Backhill o Bush and thenbike back to Craigencallie.jigglybones10/07/2021

A circuit of Craignaw, Dungeon Hill and Craignairny from The Bruce's Stone car park. Only company encountered was one goat on the De'il's Putting Green. Superb surroundings, but tough underfoot: calling the Gairland Burn Path 'muddy' is a heroic understatement.Nick Down102/10/2020
Some outstanding weather for this route around some fine Galloway Hills from car park for Bruce's stone. Benyellary, the Merrick, then descent of E ridge and on to Craig Neldricken (visited the 3 tops with 550m contours). Continued to climb Craignairny, and then Dungeon Hill, camping a short distance from the summit. Traversed to climb Meaul and on to Buchan Hill and descent SW to join track and short distance to start point.RobertP01/10/2020
Bruce's Stone parking area at end of public road at NX 4158 8044 & up Craig Neldricken & Craignairny. From Craignairny, made way between impressive granite slabs & outcrops to the summit slab & cairn. A dozen wild goats grazing close to summit. Continued to Craignaw. (S)gerrybowes16/07/2020
From Backhill of Bush, across the very wet valley floor (good one for the wellies), between the lochs and up rough ground to the summit.PGCE16/11/2019
From Bruce's Stone up Merrick usual route then down to Loch Enoch (difficult burn crossing) and up Mulwharchar through long clinging grass. Over to Dungeon Hill in similar wet conditions then to Craignairny. Descended to south shore of Loch Enoch where we found the remains of the Whitley bomber from 1940 then down 'path' to track and back via bothy to the car. Hardest day I've had on the hill since my early Munro bagging (pre paths).SS07/09/2019
4/6 Buchan Hill, Craig Neldricken, Mullwharchar, Dungeon Hill, Craignairny and Craignaw on Donald Completion Day with Ian, Caroline and Barry. Great 10 hour day, and successful project.nickywood114/07/2019

Path from Glen Trool. Very wet, but ground frost helped a bit. Crossed the outlet of Loch Neldricken, following animal tracks on the east shore, then to the cairn N of Craignaw, and contoured below Craignairny on deer tracks, to the summit. Very wet underfoot, but beautiful day.PeterAH17/01/2019

4th hill of 11 on an epic traverse from the Forest drive near Loch Riecawr to a minor road leading from Caldons near Glen Trool, climbing Macaterick, Hoodens Hill and Mullwharcher. Explored the summit and found a great rocking stone. Onwards to Craignairny...Dazingdale11/10/2018
After night camping by Loch Neldricken to make a mini-adventure.Grinner29/09/2018
Continuation of solo walk from Craignaw by dropping N and contouring around Devil's Bowling Green to arrive at phallic cairn on col with DH. Climbed around S of Craignairny to upper bealach C/DH and light scramble onto rocky summit of DH. Second phase lunch before retracing route to cairn and then troublesome staggering down to L Neldricken which was low and allowed walking on beach and rocky periphery of E and S banks, thus avoiding the rough terrain below Black Gairy. Across LN outflow easily and onto path back to Glen Trool. Weather continued fine all day, perhaps too warm but light wind helped. First visit was also solo on 25/03/2015.jacobus09/07/2018

From Craignairny to this outpost. 3rd of the of 6. Solo. South to Devils Bowling Green and Craignaw.bolton07/05/2018
Horrendously boggy path from road end to Loch Valley. Crossed burn by old sheilings, then the going got easier and less boggy following animal tracks, and a couple nice sandy beaches around Loch Neldricken. Up to rocky summit and impressive viewpoint taking in the Rhinns of Kells ridge and Merrick.AndrewFinnimore20/04/2018
Trek in thick mist over Dungeon Hill, Craignairny and Craig Neldricken. Went back to tent at Loch Enoch and had a stormy night.John Eley27/08/2017

6th of 8 hills on a 16 mile round from Bruce's Stone CP with Alex C. Fine slab rocks at top, is the cairn the HP? Looked much more like a slab of rock 10m W. From Mullwharchar, on to Craignairny.jonglew09/04/2017

Parked in Glen Trool. Anti clockwise circuit including Craignaw - Dungeon Hill - Mullwharchar - Merrick & Benyellary. Tricky navigation over Craignaw & Dungeon Hill due to low cloud and nil visibility. Tough day!David Gradwell01/06/2010
