FRom Middle Fell. 6th of the day. Headed to Drumelzier Law by traversing northwards on the west side of Middel Hill and Glenstivon Dod. | bolton | 16/08/2023 |
From Stanhope. Parking space c100m south of turn off. Along track to just past sheepfank then atv track all the way to the summit. | daviemore | 21/07/2023 |
From a layby near the Stanhope turn off, walked almost to the end of the forestry track then up the channel without trees. Might have been better on the open road as I had about fifty flies swarming about. Probably would have been better to follow track to the southwest via Stanhope and follow Land Rover tracks to the summit. | JAdair97 | 16/06/2023 |
With Hunt Law | Graham22b | 22/12/2022 |
From Stanhope, parking just before the bridge (NT 1199 3043). Followed the Stanhope Burn up to a sheepfold then a line up Eskenknies to here. On to Middle Hill -> Long Grain Knowe -> Grey Weather Law -> Drumelzier Law and return for a pleasant 14k round. | jonglew | 07/09/2022 |
From Stanhope | Huwel | 28/08/2022 |
Last summit of a good walk but should have left Drumelzier Law 'til last. Descended north from Craig Head on horrible new track, then had to take a significant detour to avoid new mansion not shown on my map. 26km 5 hours | Wycombe Wanderer | 08/08/2022 |
Parking in tiny car park at Drumelzier (NT136339) Excellent track up to Den Knowes Head, cut across to The Scrape. Pykestone Hill, Grey Weather Law, Long Grain Knowe, Middle Hill, Taberon Law, back to Middle Hill, Glenstivon Dod, Drumelzier Law. Mostly on good paths and ATV tracks. | Isbjorn | 05/06/2022 |
Parked on the A701, north of the access to Stanhope. Walked up past Stanhope Farm and turned off up a track at the first sheepfold, to Taberon Law (636m). Dropped down an ATV track past lots of grouse butts, straight down to the ford over Stanhope Burn. Followed the stony track, then ATV track for the 30m of ascent to Hunt Law (639m). Picked up another ATV track back down to Stanhope Burn, downstream of the ford, where was a wee footbridge, then back to the car all the track past the farm. Good views if overcast, souterhly wind, no problems. | chillyman8 | 17/04/2022 |
By good track up east ridge from Stanhope Hope. | Colin Crawford | 22/03/2022 |
Parked at the little car park in Drumelzier, up the dead-end road to the SE of the village just past the shed. Great walk over 7 tops, easy underfoot, sunshine all day, pity about the wind. | nicolajane | 19/03/2022 |

Park by A701 200m south of private road to Stanhope. Follow track towards Hopecarton and up though forest as far as sharp bend then direct to summit, initially by small burn (steep but straightforward and very little heather). | Tony S | 20/06/2019 |
Small car park in Drumelzier at 136340. A clockwise circuit of the Donalds/Donald Tops above Drumelzier, visiting The Scrape, Pykestone Hill, Middle Hill, Taberon Law & Drumelzier Law. Apart from a bit of rough going on the walk out to Taberon Law, good terrain with well-used paths & tracks. (S) | gerrybowes | 20/03/2019 |
Parked on the A701 just S of the private road to Stanhope. Followed the track signed 'Thief's Road', through the wood, then up onto the shoulder between Craig Head and Taberon Law. Descended the more southerly W ridge on a good vehicle track. Very pleasant walk. | LizH | 27/02/2019 |
Circuit from Drumelzier. | Grinner | 16/02/2019 |
Solo from A701 going down road to Stanhope, turning L after bridge over R Tweed to go towards Hopecarton but passing it on S and walking E to beyond stand of trees, then taking atv track S over and down hump beside forest on L. Steep climb up through tough heather to Craig Head then L (E) along atv up to Taberon Law: three pairs of snares were found across track - care required to spot and avoid them. Wind was v cold; didn't linger over lunch on N of CH but smartly returned along reversed uphill route to N of CH and then NNW towards Hopecarton but met electric fences so had to deviate to find wooden rungs over beside small stand of trees, thence down to main track near HC and onward to Tweed bridge. Weather was cold and windy but dry. First visit was also solo on 14/10/2015 coming from/to Middle Hill.3rd 17/01/22 | jacobus | 17/12/2018 |
From layby on A701. Private Road to Stanhope. Track then vg quad track all the way to summit. Bit of a nasty descent through thick wet heather down southern slopes and across burn (just made it without getting feet wet but would be tricky if in spate) and another quad track to Hunt Law. | AndrewFinnimore | 27/08/2018 |
From Middle Hill. Dropped down to the peat hags at the col, then up on a boggy path to the summit. Returned to Middle Hill. Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 20/04/2018 |
