fa, solo, windy and showers, 18 miles, a traverse from silver hill via farm track all over the bluestacks and back to glenties via the glen tavern at mcdevitts bridge for a couple of pints. from cardigans farm, track then fence and hillside to silver hill (2 cairns), cross a bog col - eany beg water, up to lavish beg, then lavish more, and a steep descent into a col for lunch, up onto bluestack with good views to errigal, past some aircraft wreckage, through some very rough ground to ardnageer west top then its main summit, more rough ground to croaghbann, then a boggy descent to crolach farm. followed the minor road which quickly turned into a boggy path, past croaghabbrid lough and down onto the road to glints near the pub at mcdevitts bridge, a few pints then a few mile walk back to glenties.rum doodle 13/09/1997
