From Sgorr a Choise and Meall a Bhuige, up grassy slopes to ridge. With Jill. A rpt for me.Dangerous Dave23/08/2023
From Meall a' Bhuige. Grassy slopes. Kept to right hand side of upslopes for best views of Bidean. KeithByTheC26/06/2023

From lay-by 300 yards SE of NTS visitor centre Up zig-zags, visited Am Meall's two tops, then taking the obliging path leading to a gate in the deer fence, the West Top of Meall Mor and, along the banana ridge, its summit. I cut down from the end of the ridge to rejoin the zig-zags.Nick Down102/04/2022
On a grey damp day from Ballachullish via bus from Fort William, shame since the ridge on Sg a' Choise looked good for nice weather.davechaffey19/09/2021
From NTS car park using track then path to deer fence gate. Found path again on the plateau. Steep grassy hill with an interesting top. Onto the two tops of AM Meall and back to car.chrisbien18/09/2021

Along the Gleann an Fhiodh path until a couple of hundred metres shy of the cairn. Found an easy spot to cross the burn and relatively easy route through the opposite heathery slope to the fine ridge path SW of Sgorr a' Choise. A nicely pinnacled summit lunch then down to Meall a' Bhuige and up to Meall Mor. Superb views across the Glen Coe classics from this point. Around the banana ridge, through a gate to recently felled forestry, then up a rough 4x4 track to the Am Meall. We met a London-based actor at the top of his first ever hill. He was stunned by the beauty but unsure how to get down, so took him down the path to the Ballachulish slate quarry and a well earned pint.summitter07/05/2021
SMC book route from Ballachulish to Sgorr a Choise, then on to Meall Mor, then to Am Meall which has rough footpath downhill to east side of quarry.willyross19/03/2021
Circuit from layby near Visitor's Centre via Gleann Leac Na Muidhe and up the long Southerly ridge of the hill, then on to Am Meall and down the long forest track to the Visitor's Centre. Superb day with outstanding views.sclater28/11/2020
Long walk along the ridge to the summit. Clear blue sky and amazing views of the other summits.Missphoton28/11/2020
The one that had got away. No worries, it's a surprisingly good walk from the Glencoe visitor centre. Parked for free in the lay by on the A82, good verge to the VC, little traffic because of the English lockdown. Forest track starts to R of campsite barrier and goes up to the 342m bealach. Pleasant trees lower down, cleared higher up. Wonderful views. ATV track to the gate in the fence, mossy grass above, then a path along the ridge. The best view is right out to the end of the ridge, a bit further than the summit. On the way back, the waymarked blue route gave a short cut direct to the VC.Gill05/11/2020
Easy long ascent. Marvellous views felt like you could have been on Annach Eagach it seemed so close. Walked out over nose and clear cut brash to mast and then down to improving path to old slate quarry.alexmaclennan21/07/2020
With Beinn a’Bheithir two and Sgorr a’Choise (Graham) with Malky C at Shills Xmas meet. Frozen underfoot all day, sunny, minus temps, no cloud. No snow. Rounsfell30/11/2019
With: hb; From Ballachulish, we walked past the primary school up Gleann an Fhiodh on a very good path to the prominent cairn. We crossed the River Laroch with some difficulty after all the recent rain, then gained the lovely south west ridge of Sgorr a'Choise which we followed to top. This ridge has losts of quartzite outcrops. Good views from the summit to the south. We descended over Meall a'Bhuige to the bealach then straight up the south west ridge of Meall Mor. There were more good views into Glencoe. We followed the ridge roud to the north west then descended to the new gate in the deer fence before picking a muddy route up to Am Meall. The descent north west back to the quarries through late flowering bluebells was delightful.Ian Baines03/06/2019
With: ib; From Ballachulish, walked past school up Gleann an Fhiodh to cairn, crossed R Laroch with difficulty then gained lovely SW ridge of S a'Choise & followed to top. Good views. Descent to col & up Meall Mor. Good views up Glencoe. Down Am Meall. Helen Baines03/06/2019
On my own. Showery. From Am Meallalwaysinshorts03/03/2019
From Meall Lighiche.Descent much easier than expected. Contoured below Meall a'Bhuige then straightforward plod in improving mild, snowless conditions. Descended to a point on the track due east of the summit. Steep but no real difficulties.Owen B17/02/2019

3-summit walk. Parked at layby on road (7:20) and took track and path up glen; crossed river easily and ascended N ridge of Meall Lighiche - trackless up steep part. Pleasant ridge walk to summit (9:20). Down NW to col with Sg a'Choise. Up to top of ridge and across deer fence then steepening rocky ridge to summit (10:50). Back down ridge to col with Meall Mor, then up broad easy-angled ridge to summit overlooking Glencoe (12:25). Descended E directly to glen; very steep but feasible on route identified earlier from below. No path. Car 13:20. Weather closing in but dry with high cloud and good views with some drizzle later.dbb13/06/2018

From Sgorr a'Choise on a walk from Ballachulish. Before the col, we had a wonderful view of a cloud wreathed Aonach Eagach. Though we had about 4h rain today it was showery with dramatic breaks. Huge slog to Meall Mor then easy back onto forest roads down to a - by the time we got there- deserted visitor centre.pwheeler27/05/2015
