From Wythop Mills road, near Church, via PFP and track. With SCM. | IanHHill | 17/03/2024 |
Parked just beyond Brumstone Bridge to the SW. Late afternoon temperature falling fast, especially in the strong wind on the summit but still good views all round, especially looking E to snow covered Skiddaw. Solo. | richard69 | 04/03/2024 |

Parked between Sale and Ling Fell. Climbed Sale Fell directly then onto Ling Fell. Clear day but windy on the tops. With Ben and Sally. | Victor | 12/02/2024 |
For a change, I parked on the road to the north, between the Victorian Sunday School and the start of the public footpath. Very busy today, presumably half term holiday has started. Pleasant walk on grassy paths. Solo. W24 Rnd7. | Dangerous Dave | 12/02/2024 |
Short walk from road head parking above Wytham Mill. Walked along road to farm then up to the col. Easy walk - views from the top once the shroud lifted. | kenmorti | 10/01/2024 |
Ling and Sale Fell from Eskin to end the year. Cold but dry. With K. | sebastiencale | 31/12/2023 |
lukily got one of the dozen or so parking places at Brunston Bridge. Lovely walk away from the busier areas. | Hirta | 04/11/2023 |
My fifth round of the Lord's Seat Group from Whinlatter to Wythop Mill, this time with Chris. Visited Whinlatter Top, Whinlatter Brown How, Tarbarrel Moss, Ullister Hill, Barf, Lord's Seat, Broom Fell, Widow Hause, Graystones (both summits), Ling Fell, Rivings, and Sale Fell. 20km with 1030m ascent taking 7h20m. Lovely autumn colours and great views across the Solway into Scotland. Glad we did not do Skiddaw, our original choice, as it was stubbornly in cloud all day. | silverwolf_alan | 03/11/2023 |
Elsewhere today Storm Babet was wreaking havoc across the country but here it did at least remain dry and not excessively windy; though felt really cold for the time of year. Delightful hill anyway and one I'd certainly love to come back to in more pleasant conditions another day. | Alex C | 20/10/2023 |
Boo and I grab my 50th Wainwright. A creme caramel to celebrate at the top | Alphaville199 | 13/10/2023 |

With: hb; From Brumston Bridge CP up road then track and path up to Ling Fell. Descended SW to join path back to road then up by wall above Kelswick to Sale Fell. Back along ridge to car. | Ian Baines | 20/09/2023 |
An afternoon on Ling Fell then across to Sale Fell from Wythop Mill. A very blustery experience even on these low Wainwrights, as the back edge of Storm Betty passed through. | silverwolf_alan | 19/08/2023 |

Sabbatical Sunday 2023 after church in Keswick | Dave Sargent | 11/06/2023 |
Today myself and Alma Aurea headed to Powter Howe for a circular walk taking in six Wainwright's - Sale Fell, Ling Fell, Graystones, Broom Fell, Lord's Seat and Barf, plus a couple of nearby summits. The weather was very warm and humid but from the forecast it looked like this area should stay clear of any thunderstorms or showers, which it did. However, despite the lower summit heights, the hills are relatively independent and quite steep it turned out to be quite a long day with some hot steep ascents! The walk took about 7.5 hours to cover the 15 mile route. No sign of a cairn, but some nice views. /D | meltdiceburg | 11/06/2023 |

Day 2 of a big weekend of BGR recce/training, but left the BGR on one side today to explore the Lorton & Wythop fells, starting from Powter How with Barf and going anti-clockwise. Bottled out of Whinlatter as the drizzle got heavier, but it cleared whilst taking in Ullister Hill & Seat How. A grand day out, with plenty of grassy running & a decent amount of bog for Hazel to dash about in. | NumptyDumpty | 05/03/2023 |
From Whinlatter Force car park - Graystones - Ling Fell-Sales Fell-Broom Fell - Lords Seat-Barf-Whinlatter. Some tough and very boggy going in places, particularly between Ling Fell and Broom Fell, and traversing round Lord's Seat to Whinlatter | Rockdoctor | 12/02/2023 |

Free parking at Brumston Bridge to SW. Well used path goes E, then up the hill through gorse, finishing on the SW ridge. The summit area is of undulating grass with several possible HPs, all visited. Nice area to wander and enjoy views. | Denise | 01/01/2023 |
