The sections by the trig point are all linked by stiles so access to summit is not an issue.Ranger10118/03/2024

From Galloway Gate with James, Julie, Gareth and Benji. Used slate steps to climb over wall and head up to summit following vague path to right of fence. Path was wetter and steeper than anticipated, and windy throughout, but views from summit were spectacular. Three Peaks, Aye Gill Pike, Baugh Fell, Wild Boar Fell, and beyond them Scafell, Scafell Pike and Great Gable. Completes English and Welsh Hewitts, 46 years after starting with Snowdon.peter4lc20/04/2023
Part of training for Fellsman, ran up from Dent. Nice Hill. Forlorn trig point in a puddle.HardenC16/04/2023
With Heather. Parked in normal area at start of bridleway. Walked the long way round, and then up a trodden path on left side of stone wall . Some stiles at summit - allows access to a stone seat. Bitterly cold day with frozen puddles. What a selection of hills to be seen. Returned the shorter way back to car.VerySlowPlodder08/03/2023
Starting from standard point on Bridleway, met a friendly shooter. He recommended I followed the fenceline which I was happy to. I was making a beeline!davechaffey24/11/2022
Parked at bridleway, followed it to the fence. After the start (south side of fence), then up north side of fence/wall mostly - drier. Misty but not yet raining as impending storm not arrived.iangalbraith02/11/2022
1 of 3 on 18.2 mile walk out of hawes. Took the long way round and followed the dismantled railway line which was very scenic all the way to mossdale tunnel then got onto stone track which led a good way to the summit before trekking over touch ground and having a small break on the middle of widdale little tarn before summit. Easy sort one after Calf Top. Parked in the area above Dent station where the road meets the Pennine bridleway. Walked along the track before following a fence (squelchy in parts) gently (after Calf top) to the summit. Bagged a geocache before heading home. Good weather gave views from Pendle Hill to Sca Fell.robphys19/06/2022

Started at the Moorcock, walked east towards Hawes then south up a good shooters track which stopped about a mile from the summit. Rough walking past the tarns, should have stuck to the fenceline. Descended to the Coal Road and headed back to GarsdaleGary Heath09/08/2020

Walked up from the Coal Road. Road was clear of frost and ice this morning but ground still fairly well frozen. Breezy and cloudy, so no good views. Easy walk so need to come back on a fine evening.Walker Dan03/12/2019

With J at the end of a long weekend in Yorkshire. After two days of iffy weather, a glorious day to finish. There is plenty of room to park at the junction of the Coal Road & the bridleway at SD780881. Followed the bridleway for 0.5km until a gate was reached. There are paths on both sides of the fence leading E. Used the one to the L until it became less distinct & then hopped over the fence & continued to the summit. Back by the same way.NotReallyABagger21/10/2019
With Val. Parked at junction of bridleway with Coal Road. Followed bridleway for about half Km then followed fence up to summit. Weather windy but dry.mike.hoult11/09/2019

11 mile circular from Newby Head gate, along road then onto Ribble Way and up to source of the Ribble, across rough then very wet ground onto dry and grassy Snaizeholme Fell (no walls to be crossed this way), after summit headed west over very difficult dry stone wall with fence on top then over another broken wall down to gate facing bridleway to Swineley House, followed this very unused bridleway from there then onto main path up to foot of Great Knoutberry, bagged Great Knoutberry Hill on trail (2nd time, previously done in 2004), then followed trail NW to contouring Pennine Bridleway up onto Wold Fells easy summit then back to car. Sunny/cloudy with a few showers around, good views from Pendle Hill to Cross Fell but could barely see the Lakes because of haze, saw a few people all day all on Great Knoutberry.DanTrig17/08/2019

Galloway Gate, Pennine Bridle Way then permissive path which is marked where it leaves the PBW. I did a straight up and back rather than the Nuttall 12.3 as there was bad visibility and stinging sleet.clivevilla12/04/2018
Walked from Dent railway station and Galloway Gate track. Followed left side of fence on ascent which was wrong side but fortunately able to hurdle fence nearer top. Very windy. Continued to Ribblehead via Pennine Bridleway.TwoOneFour06/04/2018
Walked up from the Coal Rd (SD 7796 8802). Took a direct line up the old fence, not much of it left. With Roger Templeman searching for 5 rivet benchmarks along the way, 3 found.jonglew08/03/2018
