From the junction of the Mamore Lodge road and the B863, following the estate road, stalkers' track and zig-zag ascent to Sgurr Eilde Beag, Binnein Mor South Top and Binnein Mor. Diminishing energy and water (and the prospect of no water sources on the ridges) made me leave Na Gruagaichean for another day. Superb high walking with long views in all directions. | Nick Down1 | 06/06/2022 |
Brilliant day climbing the 4 East Mamores. Weather fantastic with amazing views a fairly tough day out but worth it, on my own for these ones. | Kevthecat | 03/06/2022 |

At last, after several failed hikes (due to my laziness e.g. not getting out of bed) I bagged another two Munros today, meaning I have now bagged 141 out of 282 or 50% since August 2016 and that’s 33 this year alone, only 2 pre lockdown.

I stayed at the Red Squirrel campsite in Glencoe last night and headed over to Kinlochleven for 09:30am this morning. Heading up a steep stalkers path to the Munro Top of Sgor Eilde Beag (956m), then my 140th Munro of Binnein Mor (1130m), before doubling back and getting the Munro Top of Binnein Mor South Top (1062m).

From here I made my way up the boulder field to my 141st Munro, Na Gruagaichean (1056m), after a short lunch break to celebrate with a cheese roll, I headed over to the Munro Top of Na Gruagaichean North West Top (1041m). There was an interesting loose section between these two summits, which I wasn’t expecting. The descent from the NW Top follows a stalkers path down into Coire na Ba, then out to Kinlochleven.

Started at Kinlochleven. A long trek up to Binnein Mor but well worth it, a magnificent mountain, staring down at me, daring me to challenge it. Clear on top. Across to Na Gruagaichean which stubbornly remained shrouded in cloud all day. Gentle ascent down the South Ridge and then steeper South West (there's a cairn to guide you). Overshot the gate in the deer fence at GR NN 1910 6390 and had to follow it for some distance as it's the only way out. Down the track to Mamore Lodge which was boarded up and had seen better days and then took the path back to Kinlochleven with a slight detour to the Grey Mares waterfall.
The 6.30 bus turned up half an hour late as there had been a drunk on the bus in Fort William and the driver had to call the police. | tsharp | 01/05/2019 |

With Nick Piotrowski from Mamore Lodge. Great winter conditions initially but lost views after S. Top. Ploughed through deep snow to far end of the ridge to ensure I got to the true top as I only had a 6 figure grid reference! Then retraced steps to get Na Gruagaichean in as the weather started to break. | signyred | 14/02/2016 |
