Circular route from Troutbeck. Through Limefitt Park to join bridleway on E side of Trout Beck. Crossed bridge below Troutbeck Tongue and climbed directly to summit. Continued N along ridge then up valley to col between Thornthwaite Crag and Stoney Cove Pike. Climbed Stoney Cove Pike (summit and Wainright), then Caudale Moor. Continued to Pike How, Hart Crag, St Ravens Edge, crossed main road and continued on path to Wansfell, Baystones, and Wansfell Pike. Descended on good path back to Troutbeck.RobertP18/01/2022

From the car park at the top of Kirkstone Pass took the steep path up to St Ravens Edge, this route also took in Cauldale Moor, Stony Pike Cove, Ravens Crag, Pike How, and Hart Crag. some steep areas at first and giong down to Ravens Crag. Visited Capple How, Sour Howes, Sallows, Yoke, Ill Bell, Froswick, Lingmell End, Mardale Ill Bell, High Street, Thornthwaite Crag, Caudale Moor - both Stony Cove Pike and John Bells's Banner, Pike How, Hart Crag, St Raven's Edge, and Troutbeck Tongue. From Kirkstone Pass steeply up to St Raven's Edge, up to Caudale Moor via Pike How cairn, missed the Atkinson Monument, easy across to Stony Cove Pike then steep down to Threshthwaite Mouth & even steeper back up to Thornthwiate Crag-impressive tower cairn/beacon, nice steady up to High Street, down past The Knott, Angle Tarn to Boredale Hause &to Patterdale, warm & dry, periods of sunshine.apricorum07/07/2019

I walked on my own from Hartsop. Hot with a welcome breeze occasionally. Great views of Red Screes. I was going to drop down to the Kirkstone Inn after this fell and climb Red Screes but decided it was to hot for a steep scamble.flockwatcher18/07/2017
