Parked at SJ 05903 23490 and followed marktrengrove's route up Carnedd Das Eithin before continuing across to Ffordd Gefn (tricky bit getting through the narrow strip of woodland in the valley bottom), Ffridd Fach and Croes y Forwyn. Back through the forest paths and road. 8 miles - 3 1/2 hours. Woods are felled for Croes y Forwyn.clivevilla03/10/2018
From Ffridd Fach. Followed the high ground south-east to the forest edge (now mostly felled), and then south to the summit. Then descended south to pick up the bridleway down to the hotel, and so back to the road and car. With AC.Man of Kernow123/02/2018

Parked at the Vyrnwy dam. Up a good track to Croes y Forwyn and on to Ffridd Fach. Couldn't find marked footbridge and had a cold river crossing, getting back to the car in the dark. Cold day with some snow patches and low cloud. With Gillianrichard6926/12/2010
