I would love to claim that I walked from Combe Martin via The Hangmen summits. Sad to say I didn't I used the near by car park and followed the track up hill. There was still some of last weeks snow on the ground. Fantastic early morning views. There is a small memorial stone dated 23.7.1958 near by with the initials G.K. on. If you think running round the countryside visiting concrete blocks and small metal bolts and rivets is odd. Look up who G.K was. X Files weird. | Anthony Vosper | 17/02/2009 |
Quick walk out with my 2 year old daughter isabelle. She loved it. | isabelle | 11/11/2007 |

Family holiday in Devon, walking the coastal path and in this case cut up from car park to SW, back along 'Tarka trail' | nordicstar | 07/08/1976 |
Date is best guess, during our last family holiday in Combe Martin. I probably couldn't have taken this on any younger as I was only 10. Dad and I walked over this top and Holdstone Down before presumably walking back on lanes. The Hangmen looked terrific hills, in lovely country, from the bay. I remember the walk as rough (the thinnest of paths then) and encountering frequent adders, which of course were never exaggerated in telling of this walk. | pwheeler | 19/08/1964 |
