From small parking area at head of Loch Monar (NH204394). Good paths as mapped to NH173429. Easy climb to An Sithean, out and almost back to Sgurr Coire nan Eun, on to Meall Dubh na Caoidhe via excellent bealach Clach Chomharraidh. Descended to pick up good path at NH191432 and path all way back to car - great walk | carole engel | 06/07/2023 |
At the Strathfarrar glen gate at 9.15. The gatekeeper told me I was the fourth person of the day to get access. Parked just before the dam. Followed the standard route up and down (as per walkhighlands). On what was supposed to be a reasonably dry and bright albeit rather breezy day, got caught in an unpleasant 30 minute squall coming off the top. With the cloud down on all the surrounding high tops there wasn't any reason to hang around, so made good time up and down the excellent stalkers path and the pathless but mostly good ground higher up. | Owen B | 20/09/2021 |
Strathconon. Scardroy Lodge to Corriefeol, River Maig, Allt an Amise, stalkers path, An Sithean, Coire a'Chro'ta col, Sgur Coire nan Eun, col (207482), Bac an Eich, then NW ridge An Leth-Creag, Corriefeol & Scardroy. Overcast & cool with increasingly frequent showers, hill fog & strong SW wind. | Vin | 13/06/2021 |

MC JC. What a day. Climbed from Strathfarrar on a scorching day with snow on the ground (around 23 deg in glen). Not a breath of wind with peaks beautifully mirrored in Loch Monar. | Martin66 | 11/04/2010 |

To end of road in Glen Strathfarrar. To the Lodge up through small gorge on contoured path for 1 3/4 miles. Views to Pait Lodge. Steadily up over even heather kept down by deer - 2 herds went left and a larger group to the right on flattish top. Long 1 1/2 mile stroll around stony heaps and peat for last 300' to top. 12.25. | arranc | 02/06/1994 |
