Left the NTS car park and followed the path up to the Loch. Followed the path up to the gate. Over the stile and then to the summit. First of eight. | JAdair97 | 12/11/2022 |
Tough 19 mile circuit of Gameshope with White Coomb, Carrefran Gans, Lochcraig Head and Nickies Knowe added on. Wet first few hours, cleared up nicely | Gary Heath | 14/10/2022 |
Parked at the bridge above Talla Linnfoots, walked up to the megget stone, then cut across the bog to ascend Nickies Knowe (had a wee lie down for 45mins due to the heat). Meet a guy from the Moffat Mountain Rescue on the summit, he turned back to descend the way we had both ascended. While I headed for Lochcraig Head, which had great views of Loch Skeen. Dropped to the west to then ascent Molls Cleuch Dod and dander along to Carlavin Hill. While descending back to the car, dark thunderous clouds appeared, but it stayed dry and no sigt of lighting. | chillyman8 | 14/08/2022 |
Carlavin Hill, Molls Cleuch Dod, Lochcraig Head, Nickie's Knowe. Spectacular weather, fabulous views from the cairn. | the pigguy | 11/08/2022 |

L (NE) at NT173134 up wide grass and stone ATV track along lower edge of trees to its terminal, where grassy ATV track, faint at first, all the way to top of Carrifran Gans; continues to White Coomb. Firthhope Rig, Donald’s Cleuch Head, Firthybrig Head, boggy col to Lochcraig Head, good descent to mire E of Loch Skeen (churned into a morass by a peat restoration project), then the mega-swamp-on-a-slope dome of Watch Knowe. From Nickies Knowe, following the fence. Onwards to Molls Cleuch Dodd | Minto | 18/07/2021 |
Six tops east of Gameshope, as a follow-up to the previous weekend bagging those to the west. Room for two cars at cattle grid, at Megget Stone (and enough for ten more a short stroll west). Dion sank to knees in bog, two minutes in - but saved by gaiters! Straight up Nickies Knowe on good track, then on to Lochcraig Head (views!), Firthybrig Head. Decided to add in Great Hill, so we can skip it when doing White Comb. Turned back via Molls Cleuch Dod, and Carlavin Hill, before descending rough slope just west of Molls Cleuch gully. Should have returned to Molls Cleuch Dod and descended directly north as we spotted a good track there, after it was too late. Sun and wind. Great walk. | Toby-and-Dion | 17/07/2021 |

Headed down Talla Nick via the valley Blach Cleuch following the river back to the start. Lots of snow, high winds which called for a quick stop and a brew on top of Knickies Knowe. | Daykz69 | 10/02/2019 |

13.1 mile walk from Talla Linnfoots, followed pass up east then lane, turned onto and climbed fairly steep slopes to top of Carlavin Hill, followed wall to Molls Cleuch Dod, descended and ascended Lochcraig Head up to summit then to edge to see the stunning view down on Loch Skeen, followed edge around to Mid Craig, climbed ridge then across to Great Hill, considerable descent to Games Hope Burn, then re-ascent of Cape Law after followed nice grassy ridge onto Din Law, Garelet Dod, shapely Erie Hill, Lairds Cleuch Rig and finally Garelet Hill with its very damaged trig, then descended very steeply back down to Car. Not a cloud in the sky all day, easy terrain mainly throughout, hot but with lovely breeze, saw about 10 people all day mostly from a far, this must be be a popular area of the Southern Uplands! | DanTrig | 30/06/2018 |
