On my own. Lovely sunny late afternoon walk from Gwern Borter, along a little of North Wales Pilgramage way, return via Rowen.alwaysinshorts07/06/2024
Ignored the summit route from the west and circumnavigated to the north side to make an easier ascent.Limbs05/06/2024
Plenty of space at the road end to park before walking to the Bwlch y Ddeufaen. I took the north side of the wall which gave a good path to Foel Lwyd and then onto Tal y Fan. No summit views due to low cloud though on the descent it quickly cleared giving good views to the coast and the rocky summit. I visited the small cairn marking Foel Lwyd on the way down. Saw what I presume were wild ponies, also a ringed ouzel and a few stonechats.Peterb03/06/2024

From the Aber falls car park on a circuit of the northern Carneddau.
