Parked at Maggies Bridge. The round of Mellbreak North and South Tops, Hen Comb, Floutern Cop, Banna Fell E Top, Gavel Fell, Blake Fell and Burnbank Fell. Cloudy day with some sun but chilly NE wind. Some snow left on the top of Blake Fell from the weekend but surrounding higher hills looked impressive - across to Grasmoor and Red Pike/High Stile. Worth mentioning the good track not on the map heading off NE from Burnbank that curls N to meet up with the bw below and facilitate a more direct return to Maggies Bridge. Amazed to find a lizard on the path just short of the top fence on Hen Comb. It was 8 degrees at the top, but in January??? | nukeboy1 | 24/01/2022 |

At the foot of Gravel Fell took the unofficial path across the flat Whiteoak Moss taking the left side of the sheep fence. The moss was fairly dry but would be difficult in wet conditions. Once across it was a steep path straight up Hen Comb. | philip_firth | 30/06/2021 |
