The extreme storm force winds of the afternoon had eased by the time I got up here at 10.30pm, and the lofty far off views to Bristol Channel towns and cities lit up in the dark were really top notch as you'd expect.Alex C02/11/2023

Beautiful walk. Stopped by one of the caves on the way back and did a figure of 8 walk from the Burrington Ham car park, to the peak, round, and then to the nature reserve. Breathtaking views all around and really beautiful scenery. Thanks to the local chap who I stumbled into (quite literally!) in the bottom of the cave and provided a history of the area.jamiequackers20/04/2022

First of 3: Mendips, Quantocks, Blackdown Hills on way to Cornwall with J. Superb weather. From the parking area on the B3134, up the tree lined track & then half R passing lots of wild ponies to a great view. Varied the descent by heading SE & then NE on a curving path. Lots of birdlife including a couple of kestrels & a plover hopping & flapping down the rough path in front of us for some distance presumably drawing us away from its nest.NotReallyABagger25/09/2020
Fantastic weather and views. Simple walk with about 50 wild ponies at the summit.pog10030/07/2020

Did a circular loop from Cheddar heading up into the Mendips and round to Beacon Batch, following the path past the wireless station and through Charterhouse, took a wrong turn and had to walk down Cliff Road rather than follow the West Mendip Way as intended. Rejoined at Black Rock and followed the West Mendip Way until the split in the path to head towards Pulpit Rock and the lookout tower, decended back into Cheddar.lboutside23/03/2020
